About the Author

Dan Bar-el is a children's author, educator, and storyteller. Dan currently facilitates unique storytelling programs, visits schools and libraries, and lives and thrives in Vancouver along with the most adorable kitten in the known universe.

Rae Maté, painter and children’s book illustrator, lives on the West Coast of Canada with her husband Gabor and a very sweet cat named Nutmeg. Whether she’s painting women, cats, flowers, landscapes or charming crocodiles, her real subject is always aliveness and connection.
